Description: Greenways Trails are corridors of open space, some of these corridors include various kinds existing and proposed Recreational Trails, In Hillsborough County, there are handicapped-accessible trails, barrier-free and sloped correctly for wheelchairs; there are trails that accommodate rollerblading, cycling, hiking, strollers, off-road vehicles and horseback riding. They may be adjacent to the roadway or separated by a barrier, grass, strip or other type of separator, offset from the edge of travel lane. A shared use path can be used by both pedestrians and can be mulched foot-paths or 10-foot wide multiple-use bikeways. Greenway trails can also be a Water route, called Padding or Blueways trails which allows canoes, kayaks and other small vessels to travel on rivers, creeks, bays and estuaries.
